From the TR2Lab commitment to science dissemination, 0n May 28, the PhDs Elisabet Dachs Cabanas and Laia Bosch-Presegué participated in a scientific dissemination conference at the Cafè del Teatre de l’Escorxador in the City of Lleida, within the “Pessics de Ciència” program, that organizes several talks throughout of the year.

Laia and Elisabet lead the recently opened new research line in Applied Epigenetics in the context of the TR2Lab. They have presented the foundations of epigenetics and its importance with common diseases such are cancer, mental disease, etc. to the Lleida citizens. The mysterious title of the conference: Does DNA dictate your future or do you control your DNA? It attracted great interest on the part of the citizens, who responded with great assistance and with many interesting questions at the end of the conference. It was a very successful and enriching day for both, the attendees and the speakers.
