The research in Cancer Profiling at the TR2Lab, directed by Ph.D. Ignasi Barba, is focused on identification of tissue and molecular biomarkers and their physiopathological interactions between tumoral and immune cells. Current ongoing projects include the role of lactate and other metabolites as markers of therapeutic response and optimization. We are also studying the genetic determinants in endometrial cancer with prognostic value to guide therapeutic decision-making. We expect that our results will impact on clinical practice and quality of life of patients.
