Some aspects of the local and global dynamics of continuous and discrete dynamic systems: integrability, periodicity and bifurcations

 

 

Objectives: The qualitative study of ordinary differential equations, Hamiltonian systems and Celestial Mechanics, and discrete dynamical systems.

UVIC-UCC goals: Study families of periodic orbits of Hamiltonian systems, in particular improve the application of the averaging theory to study the families of periodic orbits of the Hamiltonian systems coming from celestial Mechanics problems.

Find new families of central configurations of the n-body problem and study the periodic orbits defined by them.
