Or should that be “heroines”? To celebrate 8th March International Women’s Day, here is a personal appreciation of four pioneering women in the education technology field. Each of them in their own way has made a great positive difference to me and my own progress. Thank you!
Sara Arjona

Sara Arjona
Sara Arjona is a Catalan software developer and contributor to Moodle. Since becoming part of the Moodle HQ team in 2017 she quickly became a key contributor to this open-source learning management system. Among other things, she has worked on H5P integration and accessibility improvements, as well as playing a key role in maintaining and improving the platform.
Sara is a generous participant in the wider Moodle community in Spain. We look forward to seeing her next at the MoodleMoot in Valencia, 2 – 4 April, if not before.
Thanks, Sara!
Laia Canet

Laia Canet
Laia Canet is an educational consultant and trainer, specialising in Moodle and accessibility. Since 2005, she has been assisting Moodle and Spanish Moodle partners, while giving countless training sessions packed with good ideas about how to make the most of the opportunities we have.
Nowadays Laia is to be found at Brickfield alongside other Moodle legends. I meet Laia on the EdTech circuit from time to time and she always leaves me better than she found me.
Thanks, Laia!
