In the framework of the symposium “FC Barcelona: History, Politics and Identity”, and close to the 25th International Day against Gender Violence, a round table will be held with the aim of presenting the results of an investigation carried out by UVic-UCC professors Raúl Martínez Corcuera, Xavier Ginesta and Joan Frigola. The research focuses on women’s football and hates speech based on the broadcasts of the 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League final, which FC Barcelona won. The work includes the speeches of TV3, Radio Nacional de España, Onda Cero, Cadena SER, COPE, Catalunya Ràdio and RAC 1.
The event will be held on Wednesday, November 23, at 11:30 am at the “Plató de televisió” of the UVic-UCC. Raúl Martínez Corcuera will present and direct it and it will be attended by the following invited journalists: Laia Bonals (Diari Ara) and Laia Coll (RAC1).
