This is an observational study of a mixed type, with quantitative and qualitative methodology, in university centers in Spain.
The general objective is to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the choice of socio-health and biomedical university degrees in first-year students in Spain. The specific objectives are:
- Analyze the trend in enrollment indicators and first-year enrollment applications of socio-health and biomedical university degrees during a period of 6 years (academic year 2016-17 to 2021-22);
- Assess, with quantitative methodology, the influence of the COVID-19 Pandemic as a determining factor in the choice of socio-health and biomedical university degrees in first-year students;
- Identify, through a qualitative methodology, the experiences related to COVID-19 of first-year students from the socio-health and biomedical degrees field as the main motive in the choice of said studies.
