Research line coordinator
PhD in Nutrition and Metabolism (Interuniversity Program of Nutrition and Metabolism) from the Rovira and Virgili University, 2012. Bachelor on Science and Food Technology (2002) and graduated in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (2000) for the University of Barcelona.
Since 2004 she is an Associate Professor at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, currently teaching Bachelor and Master classes at the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing Sciences (UVIC-UCC). She was the coordinator of the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health and Wellbieng Sciences. Currently Dean of the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing Sciences. She is also member of the research Group M3O, where she coordinates the line Nutrition, Health and Welfare
Regarding research, she has dedicated the last years to the study of the physico-chemical and sensory properties of food, as well as the study of the factors involved in sensory perception and consumer response, considering the study of food preferences and habits of population groups with specific nutritional needs. Design of health promotion strategies through food innovation. Throughout her research career she has carried out pre and post-doctoral research stays at national and international reference centers such as the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC, Valencia), University of La República (Uruguay) or the University of Nottingham (Sutton Bonington). She has participated in national and international conferences, courses and seminars and is the author of numerous scientific articles, as well as popular articles aimed at the general public.
