She has a degree in Medicine from the Universitat de Barcelona and a PhD in Public Health from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her doctoral thesis focuses on “Loneliness, social support and participation of older people from a health perspective. Since 2018, she has been Associate Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences and Community Health at the Faculty of Health and Welfare Sciences of the University of Vic-UCC.

Since 2020, she is also Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona. She currently works as associate professor at UVic teaching of public health and conducting her research on ageing with a special focus on loneliness in projets at national level such as ResiCovid19 and at European Level such as Join4Joy and RECETAS.

She is also part of the “Consell assessor científic de l’estratègia contra la soledat de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona”.
