PhD in Nursing Sciences from the University of Barcelona (2012) with the thesis “Evolution of nursing care at the Hospital de l’Esperit Sant in Santa Coloma de Gramenet 1917-2010”, Postgraduate on Nursing in Intensive Care from the University Ramon Llull (2006), Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Barcelona (2001), Diploma on Nursing from the University Ramon Llull (1998). She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Bloomberg Lawrence S. Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, Canada (2015-2016).

She is the President of the Barcelona Professional Association of Nurses, and was Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Welfare of University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, from 2017 to 2020.

She is a member of the FEBE group, the UAB AFIN research group, and the GIR-GEDIS group. Her research focuses are nursing migration, mobility, workforce, job security, gender, and also the development of care and nursing theory, as well as the methodological foundations of nursing. Her other interests are gender violence, history of nursing, critical thinking.

Within her teaching career, she was a professor at nursing degree in UVic – UCC. She worked as a collaborator at Blanquerna-URL, and was also professor at the University School of Nursing at the University of Barcelona, and worked in the Department of Nursing at the Autonomous University of Barcelona for almost nine years. She has participated in several teaching innovation projects.
