She is a nurse and anthropologist and a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Welfare at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC). She has 19 years of experience as a nephrology nurse.
She holds a PhD from UVic-UCC in the Integrated Care and Health Services doctoral programme. Her doctoral thesis focused on exploring the experiences of living kidney donors, kidney recipients, and healthcare professionals throughout the living kidney transplantation process, using a qualitative methodological approach.
Her areas of expertise and research interest include kidney disease, gender perspectives, cultural competence, and spirituality. She is a member of the Methodology, Methods, Models and Outcomes in Health and Social Sciences Research Group.
