Marc Vila is a nurse specializing in critical care and digital health. He has been working as a primary care nurse at the EAP Vic since 2018. He is also involved in academia, currently serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), where he has been teaching since 2019.

He holds a Master’s in Critical Patient Care and Emergencies from the University of Barcelona (UB), as well as a Master’s in Digital Health and another in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He completed his PhD in Integral Care and Health Services at UVic-UCC in February 2025. His research focused primarily on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), artificial intelligence in healthcare, and telemedicine.

Marc is actively engaged in scientific research, contributing to indexed publications and competitive projects. He is a researcher at IDIBAPS and the Respiratory Health Chair at the UB, and he participates in innovation and research committees within healthcare institutions. His work includes projects on AI-driven COPD management, lung health, and digital health solutions.
