Vaccinating is globally one of the most cost-effective preventive health care innovations. It requires special education, and vaccination professionals should be competent and qualified professionals to provide high quality care.

The Educating Vaccination Competence (EDUVAC)  project is focused on increasing the skills of nursing students on vaccination. In order to do so, we developed a web course on vaccination care of 3 ECTS, and an International intensive course of 2 ECTS. Their purpose is to improve the quality and relevance of vaccine learning and to strengthen student’s knowledge, skills and attitudes in vaccinating patients. All the material will be available for International use.

The IP of the project is Paola Galbany, and the research team is formed by research professors Núria Gorchs-Font, Joan Carles Casas-Baroy, Xavier Palomar-Aumatell, Carme Roure and Montse Romero-Mas.

The project corresponds to the Key Action 2 call of the Erasmus + program and is specifically a Strategic Partnership. The partners are 5 Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) which share the same goals and needs in vaccination education among their students: The University of West Attica, Greece (coordinator); Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland; Trnava University, Slovakia; University of Vic, Spain; University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.
