David Ordóñez Lopera is a PhD student at the University of Girona. Trained in Urgent and Emerging Patient Management (Master) and Nursing Management (Postgraduate). He has extensive experience as a nurse of more than twenty years at the CHV, working in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
Lover of human relationships and everything that derives from them, a fact that caused him to train in the Master’s in self-awareness, leadership and Mindfulness. Currently (2024), he is studying the third year of his Doctorate, in the Program of Molecular Biology, Biomedicine and Health of the University of Girona. The project he’s carrying out within the framework of the thesis is the study of the salutogenic model and nurse work environments. In recent years, he has combined his management side with university teaching in the UVic-UCC Degree in Nursing and as a tutor for the Bachelor’s Thesis.
He is the Head of the hospitalization area of the Hospital Universitari of Vic. During his clinical-care stage he has participated in different research projects promoted by the CHV.
