She is a professor and PhD candidate at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), and a member of the M₃O Research Group. She is a specialist in Family and Community Nursing and holds a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, as well as a Master’s degree in the Management of Primary Care, Hospital and Social Services.
She has extensive clinical and management experience in primary healthcare, including serving as director and deputy director of a primary care centre in Barcelona. She also collaborates with the Catalan Health Service on the development and improvement of the ECAP healthcare information system, with a particular interest in digital health, innovation and the integration of care services.
Her research focuses on nurse-led renal palliative care, particularly the standardisation of care plans to improve quality of care and healthcare professionals’ satisfaction. Her doctoral research at UVic-UCC has received research funding from the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS), and her work has been presented at national conferences on palliative care, nephrology and nursing. In 2025, she received first prize for an oral presentation on the consensus-building process for a renal palliative care plan at the ACIN conference.
She is actively involved in professional working groups on chronic kidney disease, renal palliative care and digital health, contributing to interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical practice improvement and the development of more integrated, person-centred healthcare.
