Description of the S-L: It is a socio-educational and audiovisual project that involves documenting the rural history of the Remei neighborhood in the city of Vic. This neighborhood has hosted families who arrived from the waves of immigration between the 1960s and 1970s up to the present (45.9% of the population is of immigrant origin). It has a high population density (18% of the total population), with 29.8% earning less than 10,000 euros. The project aims to preserve the rural history of the neighborhood, which was once characterized by small farmhouses, orchards, and waterwheels, all of which have disappeared over the last 60 years. For the development of the project, the participation of young people from the Social Library El Montseny (a popular education initiative), the Casal Claret Association, the Neighborhood Association (AVV) of the Remei neighborhood, several historians, and the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) is involved, specifically students and professors from the Social Education degree program, as well as a researcher. Through various activities, participants engage in documenting the rural heritage, creating an audiovisual resource for the preservation and dissemination of the historical heritage of the area.
