Description of L-S
This learning and service project focused on the recovery of the rural memory of the Remei neighborhood (Vic), a territory with an agricultural past that has experienced a strong urban and social transformation. Through a collaborative work between third year students of the Degree of Social Education of the UVic-UCC, entities and agents of the territory, witnesses, life stories and processes of neighborhood struggle were documented to value the intangible heritage of the neighborhood.
The students were organized into four working groups, corresponding to the thematic axes of the project: (1) rural past and historical transformation, (2) oral memory of the elderly, (3) neighborhood struggles and community identity, and (4) children’s vision of the future. Within each group, subgroups were created to produce audiovisual pieces of approximately 10 minutes. These videos constitute open and accessible pedagogical resources in the community.
