The 13th of November all LIFE DEMINE project partners met in an on-line meeting (due to the COVID-19 situation) organized by BETA Technological Centre (University of Vic) to review the technical and financial status of the LIFE DEMINE project, and the project actions progress since the last meeting.
Specifically, this meeting focused on discussing how our project and the performance of the pilot plant have been affected by COVID-19 and how can we adapt to the new situation without alte
ring the project objectives.
This meeting proved that the LIFE DEMINE project continues to progress under the COVID-19 pandemic, and despite the METP performance evaluation in Frongoch (Action B3) stopped for a few months, this activity resumed this autumn with very promising results.
Now, Swansea University, ELTENC Ltd. and Dresden Groundwater Research Centre are working together in Action B4 to ensure the implementation of the LIFE DEMINE technology in the second demonstration site (Schluesselstollen, Germany) next spring.
