The mission of Faculty of Sciences and Technology consists in providing knowledge and expertise in the fields of Biosciences and Engineering in order to contribute to society welfare and economic growth. These goals are achieved through academic education, research and knowledge transfer in these areas.

Besides, UST plays an important role in bringing science and technology knowledge to high school (Baccalaurate and Higher Level Training Cycles (CFGS)), through a series of actions, both fully organized by us or in collaboration with other partners:

  • Activities that motivate and drive the interest and talent for technology: FLL, FTC and Technology Market of Osona.
  • Program to Promote Talent trains secondary school students in different subjects in order that they can access to the Olympiad competitions. Currently, UST contributes to the Informatics Olympiad and to the Biology Olympiad at different levels.
  • Workshops that help students deepening in their knowledge of the disciplines related to university teaching through workshops.
  • Scientific book reading and conferences that bring the latest scientific innovations to high school students.
  • Summer camps to promote the development of engineering skills among primary to high schoolers.
