Proud to create a new research line focused on Clinical research on prevalent community diseases.

Proud to create a new research line focused on the study of prevalent diseases in the community, especially cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, and looking also to cover other types of pathologies, including acute and chronic diseases whether in-hospital or outpatient settings (for example: fracture femur, diabetes mellitus, etc.).

The new research line in “Clinical research on prevalent community diseases” is directed by Dr. Joan Carles Trullàs. He is an Internal Medicine specialist who works as a physician at the Hospital d’Olot i Comarcal de la Garrotxa and he has recently incorporated as an associated professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Universitat de Vic-Central de Catalunya.

The new research area starts with the aim to develop clinical and epidemiological studies, and it also envisages collaborating with other lines of research within the TR2Lab to carry out basic research studies in the near future.

For further information about the new research line, the research line coordinator will be happy to answer your questions.

Joan Carles Trullàs, MD, PhD (joancarles.trullas@umedicina.cat)
