Associate Professor at the Biosciences Department at the Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC).
She teaches at the undergrad level in several degrees: Biotechnology and Biology. Her teaching expertise subjects are Plant Physiology and Legal and Social Aspects of Biotechnology.
Much of her dedication to UVic-UCC has been in management tasks. The first 10 years as a coordinator of the degree in Biotechnology and the last 8 years as a head of research projects and coordinator of scientific dissemination.
She is interested in issues related to the dissemination and communication of science to the public. For this reason, in the 2018-2019 she took the Scientific Communication Course (Eduscopi-UVic-UCC).
She has been a member of TR2LAb since February 2021. Her contribution to the research group is to disseminate and communicate the results generated in the research lines of the group.
Montserrat Capellas is Ph.D in Biological Sciences (1997) by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona; Magíster in Biotechnology (1991) by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Graduate in Biological Sciences (1990) by Universitat de Barcelona.
