TR2Lab’s members and staff of the Clinical Wound Unit of the Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic (HUSC), have started a collaboration with the Diabetic Foot Unit at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital (Can Ruti).

The objective of this collaboration is to exchange experiences related to the innovative treatments that both hospitals undertake on complex diabetic ulcers. Unfortunately, most of the complex ulcers that have increased in our clinical wound unit are in diabetic feet ulcers, therefore we are interested in finding new approaches to treating those patients and that have a quick and successful recovery.

Currently, it has been created a working group with members of both institutions Jordi Viadé (podiatrist, and leader of the Diabetic Foot Unit) and with Dr. Miquel Sabrià (Unit of Epidemiology) from Can Ruti; and Dra. Lorena Bajo, Dr. Victor Gonzalez and Ms. Fina Clapera from TR2Lab-Wound Clinical Unit of HUSC.
