Mariona Espaulella Ferrer has received the Osona Health Award
Mariona Espaulella Ferrer has received the Osona Health Award (Premis sanitat d'Osona) for her article, "Health Care Model for People Living in Nursing Homes Based on Integrated Care." The award recognizes her contribution to improving care for elderly residents through a collaborative health care model. The awarded article demonstrates the benefits of integrating primary care teams with a specialized geriatric team to enhance the health outcomes of nursing home residents. Espaulella's research shows that this approach leads to more personalized care, faster responses to health needs, and improved overall well-being for institutionalized individuals.
PhD Oriol Aguiló has joined as an associate professor at UVIC-UCC
PhD Oriol Aguiló, Internal Medicine specialist, who is currently head of the Emergency Department at Hospital d’Olot i Comarcal de la Garrotxa (Girona) and member of the research line Clinical Research on Prevalent Community Diseases of the Tr2Lab, has joined this academic year 2024-2025 as an associate professor at the UVIC-UCC in the subjects of Exploration II and Clinical Practice I of the Medicine degree.
