Marta Ferrer presents a communication at the Clinical General sessions of the Consorci Hospitalari de Vic.
MEETING. Marta Ferrer, coordinator of the research line in Innovation of wound healing at TR2Lab, presented the results of her doctoral thesis at the Clinical General sessions of the Consorci Hospitalari de Vic on October 19th. These clinical sessions are focused on presenting the clinical cases and also on exposing the research activities of the clinical professionals with the objective to inform to the rest of the clinical community.
The session was very participative and the participants showed a good interest in the thesis that recently Ph.D. Ferrer defended. With her thesis, entitled “Care for complex wounds in wound clinical units”, Ph.D. Ferrer provides data about how the coordinated integration of prevention strategies, specific techniques of wound bed preparation, and the application of biological therapies in the context of an interdisciplinary clinical unit of wounds, led by nurses, ensure better care for wound care and a better healing rate.
