Joan Espaulella Panicot
[title_box title=”Collaborator“]is the director of the Osona territorial unit of geriatrics and palliative care. He is associate professor of the School of Medicine of the University of Girona.
The research activity of Dr. Espaulella is focused on the care of patients with frailty so from the point of view of services delivery and also in the drug prescription. It also works to establish models for making shared decision between patients and professionals and contributed to the development of the chronic wounds Unit of the Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic as a collaborator geriatrician. The doctoral thesis which he is currently developing as part of the doctoral program in health, welfare and quality of life of the UVic-UCC, focuses on the care of people with complexity and the generation of models for personalized attention.
Joan Espaulella is Specialist in Internal Medicine by the Ministry of Education and Science (1987) and Specialist in Geriatrics by the Ministry of Education and Science (2000). He has a Masters in Palliative care by the University of Barcelona (2003). More information
