Estefanía is studying 4th year of nursing at University of Vic-Central university of Catalonia. She is very interested to know the current needs of society. Currently, she is developing TFG about society’s needs and whether nursing students are aware of them and have taken them into account to do their degree work.

The Injury Clinic Unit has participated in the 12th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
"HEALTH PREVENTION; THE NEW PARADIGM IN THE TREATMENT OF WOUNDS" held in Santiago de Chile on 10 and 11 with the participation of 1300 attendees. The Unit has presented the model of care and clinical and research aspects. Marta Ferrer of the Clinical Unit of wounds and member of the TR2Lab participated in 3 activities. Combination of advanced therapies to cure a Martorell Ulcer Authors: Clara Masó Albareda Keywords: Ulcer, platelet-rich plasma, skin grafts, complex wound. Abstract Atypical ulcers are included within the group of complex wounds, among which the Martorell hypertensive ulcer stands out. These skin wounds derive from ischemic processes caused by the obstruction of arterioles that affect elderly patients with a long history of hypertension. Clara Masó has obtained a PERIS grant from Generalitat de Catalunya
PhD student Clara Masó has obtained a grant, under a competitive bidding regime, for the financing of intensification contracts for nurses within the framework of the Strategic Plan for Health Research and Innovation (PERIS) 2022-2027 (ref. BDNS 755661). This concession allow the nurse to work entirely on her project throughout two years. The project that has been granted is an “Observational study of the effect of autologous punch skin grafting therapy in the treatment of complex skin wounds”.
