The Clinical Wound Unit of the Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic (HUSC) has been accredited as Excellent Unit for “Grupo Nacional para el estudio y asesoramiento en úlceras por presión y heridas crónicas” (GNEAUPP).

This certification declares that the hospital has an excellent quality in the prevention, treatment, and research of ulcers. This accreditation has been obtained as a result of having passed a demanding audit.

HUSC is the second hospital in Catalonia and the third in Spain to achieve this distinction, which shows that the center achieves high standards of quality in the treatment of injuries.

Created in 2006, the Clinical Wound Unit is a multidisciplinary facility for attending patient under a well-integrated and integral care model. The Wound Unit of the Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic is a collaborator clinical center of TR2Lab, with great expertise in the treatment of complex chronic ulcers which uses the more advanced technological innovations for cutaneous wound healing.
