As a second consecutive year, TR2Lab Students from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology (FCT) defended their Degree Thesis (DT). This year, two students from the Biotechnology Degree entered a TR2Lab program of DT mentoring which included a practical internship in the Molecular Photopharmacology research line in the TR2Lab.

Molecular photopharmacology is a novel discipline focused on the development of synthetic light-regulated drugs, which allow for the reversible activation or deactivation of specific target proteins in localized tissues with precise spatiotemporal control. Carla Nieto and Christian Romero were interested in this research topic and devoted their Degree Thesis (DT) to span the knowledge. We would like to congratulate them on their learning, excellent qualifications, and especially for their contribution to TR2lab research.

Good luck from now onwards!
