The research in Biomarkers and Mesothelial Pathophysiology at the TR2Lab, directed by Ph.D. Jaume Trapé Pujol, is focused on studying the tumor biomarkers as diagnostic tools in serous effusions (pleural, peritoneal and pericardial infarction), as well as participation in projects to identify biomarkers with diagnostic value, prognosis and prediction of therapeutic response, thus allowing a better compression of the pathophysiology mesothelial in the context of tissue repair and regeneration processes. This research line dedicated to the identification of biomarkers with diagnostic value, prognosis and predictive of therapeutic response will allow to expand the scientific expertise of the TR2Lab fact that should allow to design more ambitious and transversal research projects with other lines of research of the group since the incorporation of the equipment of this line will allow to reinforce much significantly the pathophysiological analysis skills of TR2Lab biological fluids.
