Recently, the Wound Commission of the Fundació Hospital Santa Creu de Vic has carried out a training program on the occasion of the 6th World Wide Pressure Ulcer Prevention Day for new nursing professionals.
Some of the outstanding training activities, related with the research developed in the research line in innovation in wound healing, were conducted by several nurses members of TR2Lab (Marta Ferrer, Fina Clapera, Ester Fontserè and Helena Sureda) who talked about Pressure ulcer prevention measures, Debridement types and wound dressings, Assessment and diagnosis of wounds, Compression and ankle-brachial index, Innovation in wound healing, and the Organization of the Clinical Wound Unit of the Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu (partner of the TR2Lab).
During the World Wide Pressure Ulcer Prevention Day, some pins were distributed to wear for the whole working day in order to commemorate this celebration.
